Sol Invictus, unconquered sun,
Triumphant splendor, shining one,
All stands revealed in perfect sight
From heaven’s dome, that lofty height.
The steeds that pull Sol’s shining car,
They outrun all, traversing far,
And breathing flame they tread the sky,
While Sol’s most sharp and piercing eye
Beholds all things; thus truth by light
Does a blow to black darkness smite.
